Kinds of stories

A good newspaper will attempt to give their readers good, comprehensive coverage of the events that are going on in the area. That's why they report on city, county, state and sometimes even federal court happenings. Sometimes these stories are referred to as "Stories of Consequence" because they may change laws that affect the way we live or they may impact our income.

• There are national and international events that effect us locally, or are just general interest.
  These stories are often culled from AP, Reuters , UPI and other national/international news sources.
• There are Crime Blocks, which are the worst crime story headlines of the day.
  These may come from the reporters, editors, listening to the police and fire scanners and following leads.
